Tenders circulate busily like bees through the harbour, 80-metre-long formats bask in the shade of the breakwater on the cruise quay and newbuilds as well as charter and brokerage yachts are "lying in their packets" on the entire Port Hercule. When the harbour in the heart of Monte Carlo is overflowing and 30-metre-long yachts are among the small exhibits, then it is clear that the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) has begun. Of course, when Formula 1 makes a guest appearance in the Principality, it also gets crowded. But then a safe distance must be maintained from the northern quayside, the Quai des Etats-Unis.
From 27 to 30 September 2023, no one need fear racing boats flying through the air and into the harbour basin. "There is no other place and no other period where you can marvel at a higher concentration of large yachts - and in most cases even walk around," says Sören Gehlhaus, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of BOOTE EXCLUSIV, looking forward to the most important event in the superyacht industry.
For the 32nd edition, the British trade fair organiser Informa proclaimed the motto "Seducation". The word creation is based on the duality of fascination and education. Green technologies are presented in the Sustainability Hub, while in the Yacht Design and Innovation Hub, designers and constructors provide information on ecological materials, efficiency and new drive technologies, among other things. In the Adventure Area, there are tenders, toys and supercars to marvel at. A day ticket costs 600 euros this year, and MYS is putting together individual packages with visits on board and meetings with designers or shipyard representatives as part of the Sapphire Experience VIP programme. For BOOTE EXCLUSIV subscribers, free tickets worth 600 euros each are available again this year on request: exclusiv@boote-exclusiv.com.
Trade fair times and prices: From 27 to 30 September 2023, Wednesday to Friday, 10.00-18.30, Saturday 10.00-18.00. Day ticket 600 euros. On Wednesday, 27 September, admission to the Dock Area only with a personal invitation from MYS (Sapphire Experience), with a "Discover" badge or as an exhibitor. Hotels can be organised by the trade fair via www.monacoyachtshow.com
In the harbour basin, the Monaco Yacht Show welcomes around 100 superyachts, including new deliveries such as the Amels 60 "Entourage". In addition, a large number of other formats will drop anchor in the bay of Roquebrune and invite guests on board by tender shuttle. These include representatives from the sales and charter portfolios of the major brokerage houses. The 67-metre Feadship "Drizzle" and the 53-metre alloy ketch "Drumbeat" will once again be on the market. The longest boat for sale measures 95 metres, is called "Kismet" and was built by Lürssen in 2014.
