The new boot advertising campaign
The highlights for boot 2025 were presented yesterday in Düsseldorf. These include exciting activities for motorboat and sailing newcomers. The world's largest water sports exhibition is once again expected to attract over 200,000 visitors to the exhibition halls on the Rhine from 18 to 25 January.

For all those who have always wanted to set sail or motor across the water, the upcoming boot Düsseldorf there will be a new "Boating Plaza" in Hall 3. There, visitors will be provided with tips for beginners, and boat and cruising advice will also be offered. Parallel to this, a "Sailing Plaza" including a "boot Sailing School" is planned in Hall 15, where visitors can practise their first tacks in the sailing pool under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Motorboat beginners will receive information about the different types of boats and engines and the boating licence classes. Exhibitors of smaller motorboats and fishing boats are also grouped around the "Boating Plaza" in the adjacent "Sportfishing Centre".

The programmes are supported and supplemented by the major associations, the DMYV and the DSV. "Our friendship with the German Sailing Association is unique, and it is very exciting and forward-looking to develop new ideas for sailing together," said boot Director Petros Michelidakis. The "Boating Plaza" is in turn supported by the German Motor Yacht Association.

Free entry for driving licence newcomers

As if that wasn't enough, boat newcomers can also look forward to a free trade fair ticket. The prerequisite is that you have obtained your German recreational boating licence between January 2024 and January 2025. Interested parties can download a free booking confirmation from the ticket shop at boot.de. This can then be exchanged for a valid day ticket at the ticket offices when visiting boot. The ticket shop will be open from 18 September.

The almost 175,000 boot.club members can also look forward to a special promotion: they can visit the trade fair on two days for the exclusive price of a one-day ticket of 19 euros. Families will also benefit next year, as children up to the age of 12 have free admission to boot.

Trade visitors who secure a B2B ticket will once again be able to take advantage of the trade fair's usual services: The meeting point for the superyacht industry is the exclusive lounge in the Super Yacht Show in Hall 7a. In addition, there will be numerous happy hours during boot, offering the opportunity to network with exhibitors and experts.

And if you are travelling with your own van or van instead of staying in a hotel, you can secure a parking space in the Caravan Center in car park P1 for 25 euros per day.

Petros Michelidakis added: "We have also clearly summarised everything important about boot Düsseldorf 2025 in a newly developed trade fair app. This way, everyone can plan their individual visit day on their smartphone."

The world's largest yacht and water sports trade fair in figures

With over 200,000 visitors from more than 100 countries and 1,500 exhibitors on 220,000 square metres in 16 halls, boot Düsseldorf will remain the largest yacht and water sports trade fair in the world from 18 to 26 January 2025. Both sailors and motor boaters will find an enormous variety of boats, dinghies, superboats and luxury yachts there.

The popular water sports of diving, Surfing, Kitesurfing, Stand Up Paddling, Skimboarding and canoeing are available at boot in all their facets and with the appropriate equipment. Attractive stage programmes with the stars of the scene, the latest trends and a top-class mix of workshops and hands-on activities for both recreational athletes and experts make the trade fair unique worldwide.

Focus on marine protection

However, boot 2025 will also focus on marine protection and innovative, sustainable technologies. In cooperation with the European Boating Industry (EBI), the blue innovation dock offers a unique dialogue format with political, economic, technological and media expertise in Hall 10.

"boot 2025 is the start of the future for us. Our new campaign picks up water sports fans where they prefer to be: In, on or by the water. Active people and boaters show their enthusiasm for the sport and the fascination of their favourite element. Our new claim 'We love water' reflects exactly this bond. It is simple, concise and suitable for all water sports enthusiasts and anyone who wants to become one," said Director Petros Michelidakis. An original song entitled "We love water" was also presented:

The campaign also aims to convince people to respect the element of water and take responsibility for even greater sustainability. Especially in today's challenging times, it is important to support the industry with commitment and new ideas.

The new look of the trade fair celebrated its premiere on Thursday afternoon in front of the international press and representatives of the water sports community. High-ranking guests were on board as speakers: German apnoea diver Anna von Boetticher, Giovanna Vitelli, President of Italian yacht manufacturer Azimut, content creators Elena and Ben, who have dedicated themselves to vanlife, surfing and an Atlantic crossing, windsurfing pro Adam Sims, superyacht captain "Captain Boomies", agency boss and patron of the arts Christian Boros as well as boot President Robert Marx, Trade Fair Managing Director Marius Berlemann and boot Director Petros Michelidakis.
