Hardly any other trade fair brings water sports to life like Interboot. And its repertoire seems inexhaustible

"Sea valuesThe 57th International Watersports Exhibition in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance aims to offer a wide range of "all things watersports". Around500 exhibitors from more than 20 countries are on board and present from the22 to 30 September their products, accessories and industry innovations in the motorboat, sailing boat and fun sports sectors.

"The international water sports exhibition promises experiences in the halls, in the harbour and on the trade fair lake and focuses on the latest trends and trend sports on the water", says trade fair director Klaus Wellmann.
"Interboot combines specialised information with numerous entertainment elements. Both the Interboot Academy and the lecture programme as well as theParticipation and show components we are continuing to expand this year," reveals project manager Dirk Kreidenweiß.

In the board and trend sports area, a new SUP test pool invites beginners and advanced riders to take a ride and the young sportMotoSurf will be present - for the first time at a trade fair in Germany - on the first Interboot weekend in demo races on Lake Constance.

Those who are looking for the ultralight,Surfboards controlled by joystick and powered by a jet engineIf you want to try it yourself, you can attend a workshop at the Interboot Academy on the two mornings of the first weekend of the fair.

Also the Foiling as a trend topicin sailing will once again be showcased with products, exhibitors and presentations. "The 57th International Watersports Exhibition not only celebrates water sports in all its facets, it also provides a platform for initiatives and exhibitors who care about responsibility for our oceans"adds Kreidenweiß.

Hall A2 will be modified, where accessories exhibitors will appear and visitors will have to fulfil small water sports challenges in the Interboot competition and win big prizes.

Sailing and motor yachts, electric boats, inflatable boats, dinghies, foilers, canoes, kayaks, kites, wakeboards, surfboards, motors, electronics, clothing and accessories - everything that floats and is fun in the water will be making a grand appearance in the eight Interboot halls at the end of September.

A selection of the FriedrichshafenMotorboat premieres will be presented in the next issue, just in time for the start of Interboot. BOOTE 10/2018 will be available in newsagents from 19 September.

Water sports in action will be on offer on Lake Constance and the exhibition lake, where numerous shows and test opportunities will be available to visitors. Particularly ambitiousStand-up paddler can compete in pairs against eleven other teams in the SUP Team Challenge on the exhibition lake.

The prize is participation in the British Virgin Islands SUP Challenge powered by The Moorings in the Caribbean in February 2019.

Lake Constance has always played a major role in the appeal of Interboot. This year too, numerous highlights will take place on the "Swabian Sea". At theSunset sailing participants sail into the romantic sunset.

If you want to add a little more speed to the evening atmosphere, choose the motorboat instead and take part in theSunset cruising participate. The second Interboot weekend will also be a lively one at theWakeboard competition"Team up with a Pro". For the fourth time, real professionals put together their team of amateurs on the wakeboard and prepare them for the big competition on the final day from 28 to 30 September.

InterDive From 20 to 23 September, an independent trade fair for diving, snorkelling and travel will take place for the sixth time in Hall B5 and Foyer East - the first half exclusively, the second half parallel to Interboot.

For this reason, InterDive and Interboot can be visited on the weekend (22/23 September) with a combined ticket (see admission prices). Opening hours: Thursday 12 to 7 pm, Friday 12 to 8 pm, followed by Nightdive party until midnight, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 6 pm. Info: www.inter-dive.de

BOOTE Following the successful premiere of our joint stand last year, we are once again pooling our expertise during the 57th Interboot and will be presenting ourselves together with our colleagues from YACHT and Delius Klasing Verlag in Rothaus Hall A1, Stand 108.

This will benefit both us and - in particular - our visitors: right next door, they will be able to listen to specialist presentations by our sailing colleagues, who also have a lot to offer motor boaters. - Our BOOTE tent will be in its usual place in the Interboot harbour on Lake Constance.

Women can register there (as well as at stand A1-108) for our Motorboat training register. We look forward to your visit, whether you have suggestions for us, criticism or just want to drop by for a chat.

Taster cruise or intensive course For the 15th time in a row, we are offering an intensive course during the 57th Interboot in cooperation with Boote Pfister and Messe Friedrichshafen.Motorboat training by women for women. The free taster trips last around 45 minutes and are accompanied by Anja Schult. Interested women can register on site: both at the exhibition centre in Hall A1, Stand 108, and in the Interboot harbour at the BOOTE tent. Women who would like to secure a place in the cockpit of the training boat in advance can book an appointment from 21 September via the BOOTE mobile phone (0170/571 94 69). The eight one-day courses (Lake Constance Special) will take place from 22 to 29 September from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Lake Constance and cost 199 euros per participant. Trainer: Dorle Genthe. Bookings can be made at www.boote-frauenfahrtraining.de is recommended. Details of the training programme can also be found there. If the courses are not yet fully booked, interested women can also register spontaneously on site. A driving licence is not required.
