The 2021 Yachting Festival Cannes speaks for itself: 575 exhibitors, 620 boats from 3 to 50 metres in length, including 141 world premieres, 54,400 visitors. And all this despite pandemic-related restrictions. Fortunately, the latter have not yet been an issue in the run-up to the 44th edition of this glamorous floating show on the Côte d'Azur. The focus is therefore primarily on the maritime content of the Yachting Festival. As of 31 July, just over a month before the opening on 6 September, the registration list already includes 622 boats, including 137 world premieres and 49 European premieres. Cannes thus emphasises its attractiveness for premieres from numerous renowned shipyards.
The festival website contains lists of all boats, other nautical products and maritime services as well as the complete list of exhibitors. The Cannes Yachting Festival itself is organising a special premiere. With the "Green Route", it has created an eco-label. It is intended to highlight efficient solutions developed by exhibitors to reduce the environmental impact of the nautical industry on the sea and its ecosystems, while at the same time raising awareness among visitors. Whether, for example, alternative motorisation, a system to reduce consumption, ecological construction or the use of environmentally friendly materials - such products or their exhibitors will be marked with the "Green Route" logo at the trade fair. There are expected to be 32 in the Vieux Port and 22 in the Port Canto, and they are already listed on the festival website. Festival director Sylvie Ernoult wants to follow the good examples with her own eco-measures when organising the show.
