Very few insiders were aware of the deal and the need for dialogue at the trade fair was enormous. Viewed with Hamburg local patriotism, 139 years of the city's history flow down the Elbe; viewed rationally, the takeover can be seen as a great opportunity for new orders. Incidentally, Peter Lürßen left open the question of whether yachts will be built at the new location. With Blohm + Voss, the Lürßen family is now assuming even greater responsibility in the German shipyard sector (following approval from the Cartel Office). And that deserves great respect!
Looking back at the rest of the trade fairs in Cannes and Monaco, it can be said that yachts are being bought in all sizes. At the same time, voices are becoming louder that the industry should cater to (younger) customers for whom experiences are more important than ownership. It is not without reason that Explorer formats are in demand like never before.
