This is only the second time in the almost 25-year history of BOOTE EXCLUSIV that a drawing or montage has made it onto the front page. You have already seen the spectacular size comparison: "Maltese Falcon", currently the third longest sailing yacht in the world at 88 metres, competes against the 53 metre longer "Dreamship Symphony". It is no coincidence that Ken Freivokh provided us with this unique picture (thank you very much!). As the designer of the Falcon, he has long since made his mark in the history books of yachting and now, as the stylist of the "Dreamship Symphony", he is preparing to top this achievement. Although the 141-metre-long four-masted schooner will not be launched until 2016, work in Marmaris is already in full swing.
Details about the equipment of the giga-sailer have hardly been publicised to date. However, when BOOTE EXCLUSIV editor Martin Hager asked Freivokh for an interview about the "Dreamship Symphony", he spontaneously agreed and chatted openly about the design, layout and features such as an owner's gallery on the sidelines of the Superyacht Cup. Another player on the scene also gave us some unusual insights. Jean-Marc Le Saux, harbour master of Saint-Tropez and therefore the world's most important berth manager, at least in midsummer, allowed our author Carolin Thiersch to accompany him for an entire working day. Although his radio croaked almost non-stop, Le Saux explained the finer points of his job with admirable composure and also shared a few anecdotes.
