One of them is the Brit Jimmy Carroll, who, as co-founder of Pelorus Travel, has an adventure account full to bursting. The likeable and energetic ex-soldier and his London-based team organise unforgettable trips that cannot be booked anywhere else. Naturally, the travel agency plans the clients' mobility options into the supporting programme of each trip - explorer yachts, private jets and helicopters. Anyone who follows the 42-year-old expedition professional on his social media channels can only sink under their desk with envy. For more than five months a year, he accompanies his clients to the Arctic (heli-skiing), Antarctica (kayak tours), Mexico (diving) or Indonesia (surfing). From page 56 onwards, the well-travelled adventurer reveals where he particularly likes to take his yacht-loving clients and what his personal favourite is. Who wouldn't want to swap jobs with him? By the way, Jimmy Carroll will be at the German Superyacht Conference 2025 which will take place on 27 February in Hamburg. Ticket sales have already begun.

We regularly write about owners who fulfil a long-cherished dream with a yacht and have it built full of enthusiasm for a very specific adventure. For the German entrepreneur and majority owner of the Cantiere delle Marche shipyard, Tom Schröder, this dream recently began: a seven-year trip around the world with his family and on board his 44-metre explorer "Maverick". My colleague Sören Gehlhaus takes you on a tour of this exceptional format, which was regularly used as a party platform at the last autumn trade fairs and Formula 1 events.

Another prime example of "Passion Meets Yachting" can be found in the form of the 50-metre one-off "Anjelif". Owner Maria Francesca Angelini gave us a personal tour of the three decks of the latest delivery from Columbus Yachts, which boasts a variety of exciting customised solutions. "SERENISSIMA" is an Italian word meaning "the most serene" or "the most holy", which is why it makes a wonderful yacht name. However, the fact that we are presenting two - and very different - boats with the same name in one issue is an astonishing coincidence. With the 47 metre long "Serenissima I" from Mengi-Yay halls, a boxing Riva fan had an attractive and versatile cruising base built. The lively Cypriot Sotos Stephanou christened his cat, the new 24-metre flagship of the Fountaine Pajot series catamaran shipyard, "Serenissima III". He spends at least 100 days a year on the two-hull boat, which he calls his floating home. We need more owners like him!

Enjoy this issue!

Yours sincerely, Martin Hager
