E-drive: Sialia presents intelligent battery system

Sialia Yachts presents details of its innovative electric propulsion system with integrated battery pack and intelligent Ship Management System (SMS) for the first time.
Sialia Yachts builds high-performance e-yachts in Poland with lengths between 13 and 30 metres and has now published the functionality of the propulsion system developed by sister company Ampros with an integrated battery pack and Ship Management System (SMS) for the first time. This acts as the brain of the drivetrain and enables monitoring and preventive maintenance. Another advantage of the SMS is the maximisation of battery performance.
Batteries specially developed for Sialia
Sialia COO Milvio Ricci explains: "Typically, you can't use the top and bottom 10 per cent of the battery capacity, so effectively only 80 per cent is available." However, the batteries specially developed for Sialia made it possible to access parts of these additional capacity bands through the SMS.
