There are six power classes to choose from: from the new 90 hp up to 250 hp. Evinrude sees the power pack's area of application at the stern of water ski and wakeboard tow boats. This is justified with a higher torque over the entire speed range. Compared to the "normal" 90 from Evinrude, the HO model has four cylinders in a V-shape instead of three in a row. The 90 HO is based on the identical 115 hp and 130 hp outboards. The displacement is 1727 instead of 1296 cc. However, more technology means more weight (around 25 kg).
