Suzuki's selective direction of rotation, which is now being introduced on the DF 300, is set to revolutionise the outboard market. The change is made by the dealer.
In future, there will only be one engine model for clockwise and anti-clockwise rotating propellers. This means that the dealer orders two identical engines from Suzuki for a double installation. He then changes the direction of rotation himself. For this purpose, the gear shifting is adapted electronically. Retrofitting is possible at any time. The bearings and material selection for the gearbox have been revised. According to Suzuki, the new four-point water intake ensures better and more constant cooling when travelling at high speed and in shallow water. The DF 300 with Suzuki selective direction of rotation was already on show at Boot in Düsseldorf in January.
