The third generation of the Targa 27 looks confusingly similar to its predecessors, but is a new development

Solid construction and workmanship are the domain of Oy Botnia Marin. It's hard to tell, but the Targa 27.2 presented at the Helsinki Boat Show in February is not a facelift, but a completely new design.

The hull of the walkarounder with flybridge and sliding doors has grown slightly. The deckhouse is longer and wider. The basic layout with the wet room at the front and three to four berths at the rear has remained unchanged.

The Volvo Penta D6-400 is fitted as the new top-of-the-range engine.

The handling characteristics are very good-natured and flawless. At a leisurely but efficient cruising speed of 16.6 knots, 24 litres of diesel per hour run out of the 530-litre tank, which allows ranges of around 300 nautical miles. The top speed is a brisk 38 knots.
