The luxurious day cruisers and offshore boats from Performance Marine will now also cause a sensation on Lake Constance. Ultramarin, the Meichle + Mohr Marina in Kressbronn-Gohren, is an authorised Performance dealer on the German lakeshore. Advice, service and sales of the boats manufactured on Lake Lugano is a further step in the expansion of Ultramarin's boat market, which now comprises six manufacturers.
After the classic runabouts and tender boats from the Austrian Frauscher shipyard found a new distributor in southern Germany with Ultramarin last year, the fun boats for wakeboarders and water skiers from Moomba followed. These are American towing machines with an unbeatable price-performance ratio.
During the second Ultramarin boat show at the start of the water sports season, the Performance 707, 807 and 907 were presented for the first time. The boats, which are manufactured in Porlezza on Lake Lugano in Italy, are the ideal size for Lake Constance. However, the centre of Performance Marine GmbH is in Karlsfeld near Munich. This is also where the design and marketing departments of the family business headed by Werner Sonderwald are based.
Each Performance boat is unique: equipment, materials, colours and design can be selected from the accessories list at no extra cost. The 7.50 metre long Performance 707 with its exemplary hull design and a 190 hp (142 kW) V6 Mercruiser standard engine offers very high safety potential combined with a high level of comfort. However, the Daycruiser can also be powered by two powerful V8 Volvo Penta or VW TDI engines. Prices for the Performance 707 start at 107,100 euros.
With a length of 8.50 metres, the Performance 807 is a decidedly sporty offshore cruiser that has been designed as a top-class day cruiser. Despite the sporty hull design for unique driving dynamics, the Performance 807 still offers an acceptable headroom of 1.75 metres, including a separate wet room.
The motorisation here starts at 300 hp (221 kW) and ends with a power drive with two times 1,000 hp (736 kW) from eight-cylinder Mercruiser engines. However, economical turbo diesel engines from VW, Volvo Penta and Yanmar are also available. Prices for the 807 start at 153,500 euros and range up to 247,200 euros for a diesel twin-engine version.
The nine metre long Performance 907 is an elegant and sporty offshore cruiser with plenty of living space, a double bed, seating area and kitchen block in the cabin. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and WC. The 907, which costs from 214,000 euros, is basically twin-engined. Two 1,140 hp (838 kW) Mercruiser V 8 engines are also possible.
Thanks to its hull construction, it also offers safety in rough conditions or at very high speeds. But what is the ideal Performance for Lake Constance? Daniel Rück, Sales Manager in the Ultramarin boat market: "The ideal boat is the Performance 807, which offers two people enough comfort for a long weekend or a holiday cruise on Lake Constance."
