The Nuremberg shipyard STERK presents its first trailerable motorboat, the new STERK 26. The boat is around 8 metres long and complements the existing model range, consisting of the larger 31-foot RC (Rear Cabin) and WB (Wet Bar) variants.
Like all STERK models, the 26 is based on a so-called two-stage hull. This design creates two defined contact surfaces on the underwater hull when planing, which reduces water resistance. According to the manufacturer, this results in up to 30 per cent lower fuel consumption compared to conventional hull shapes. Yamaha outboard engines will initially be available for the market launch. STERK has not yet published specific performance data and consumption figures.
STERK also plans to offer an electric version of the 26 from 2026. This will be developed in collaboration with the Canadian specialist Vision Marine Technologies, a manufacturer of electric drive systems for boats. The electric version will initially be launched on the North American market. The manufacturer has left open whether and when it will also be available in Europe. Technical specifications such as battery capacity, range or charging time have also not yet been communicated.
Despite its compact dimensions, the STERK 26 offers a comprehensive range of equipment for a boat of this size. The cabin has a separate shower and toilet - a feature that is rarely found in this boat category. There is a fully equipped wet bar with cooking facilities in the cockpit. Two large sun loungers offer space to relax. The passageway at the stern provides easy access to the bathing platform. Numerous storage compartments are designed to provide sufficient space for equipment and personal items.
The official presentation of the STERK 26 is planned for boot Düsseldorf, which will take place in January 2026. However, the manufacturer will be accepting reservations from September 2025 - both directly and via authorised dealers. Prices have not yet been announced, but the manufacturer has announced a special introductory offer.
