Riva 88 Folgore
Natural event Folgore translates into German as "lightning". And this is exactly what the unbiased lover of sporty motor yachts feels when they see the Folgore for the first time. What Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta and Ferretti's Engineering Department have brought into shape here is truly impressive. It goes without saying that the Italian yacht builders only use the best materials - carbon fibre, crystal glass, mahogany, teak, leather and stainless steel. Just under 22 metres in length, there is space on three levels for a fly with a driving position, sun lounger and coffee table and a saloon with sumptuous sofas, a "dining room" and a steering position in the glass house. The space below deck is shared by the owner's suite and three guest cabins with first-class comfort. Because things sometimes have to go (lightning) fast, the shipyard has installed two 2638 hp (!) MTU diesels as top engines, guaranteeing a top speed of 39 knots. Info: www.riva-yacht.com
DutchCraft DC25
Free entry The bow ramp and the folding transom promise free "movement of goods". This means that well-padded benches, jet skis, complete diving equipment or everything that sport fishermen, wakeboarders or water skiers need can be "freely traded". In other words, in the cockpit. The variable cockpit interior makes the DC25, designed as a megayacht tender, an all-rounder. The only fixed features are the steering position, which can be made weatherproof with a windscreen and a folding hardtop on request, and the electric drive, which, equipped with a Z-drive, delivers 100 kW for a continuous period (75 minutes), making the all-rounder 32 knots fast. If you want to go further (6 hours at 6 knots), you have to "take the throttle off". Info: www.dutchcraft.com
Vicem 50 Classic
Optical illusion No, she is not at home in the USA, but, as the Downeast style reveals, that is where the majority of her buyers are looking. Downeast made in Turkey are the classic shapes, the deck saloon and the large cockpit. The owner decides whether the express cruiser gets a fly and what it looks like below deck. The bestseller is the two-cabin version with two separate bathrooms and a large galley. The drive with Volvo Penta's electronically controlled IPS is unquestionably modern. That means powerful (880-1200 hp), efficient and child's play to handle. You can forget the nightmare of a failed mooring manoeuvre. Info: www.vicemyachts.com
Magazzu Targa 45
Luxurious and elegant The Targa 45 is the first model in the new, innovative series from the rib specialists in Palermo. "It combines the advantages of a maxi-rib and a cabin yacht," says designer Claudio Magazzù. The comfortable wheelhouse, the cockpit with "table and chairs" and the sun lounger on the foredeck are the unmistakable hallmarks of the new Targa series. Below deck, the owner's cabin with sofa and TV, the galley and a dinette remain invisible at first glance. The 1200 hp outboard engine trio provides plenty of excitement. Renato Magazzù calls the driving experience at full power a unique experience. Honestly, who would seriously disagree with him? Not us. Info: www.magazzu.com
Numarine 32 XP
Once around the world Dreams come true with the 32 XP. It has a solidly built steel hull and all the necessary equipment. The 29,000 litre (!) diesel tank guarantees a range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economical 8.4 knots. Always on board are the flybridge with tender dock, the saloon in dancefloor format, galley, six bedrooms, fitness room, cockpit and terraces with comfortable furniture in a double pack and the yacht's own "power station" (three generators). Marquis M42
From indoors to outdoors If you're not a fan of diesel engines and can do without the lowerable bathing platform, the outboard version of the M42 is a real alternative. Why an outboard? "The boat performs like a thoroughbred." What Marquis boss Rob Parmentier means by this is that the M42 with 3 x 400 hp takes off like a racehorse. Only if you want it to, of course. A large sun lounger, the cockpit with comfortable sofa and wet bar and the cabin, which has a bathroom, galley and convertible seating area, fulfil the desire for comfort. Hardtop and bimini are offered as options.
