Spirit Yachts presents the P50, a new motor yacht in two versions, which will be available from spring 2026.

British yacht builder Spirit Yachts is expanding its portfolio with the new P50 motor yacht. The 15.24 metre long boat is available in two versions: an open sports version and a closed coupé version. Both models combine the classic design of Spirit sailing yachts with modern motorboat elements.

Two variants for different applications

The P50 Sport is designed for warmer regions and offers a large bathing platform and a spacious cockpit with a U-shaped seating area. There are sun loungers for relaxing on the foredeck. An open galley with cocktail bar makes it possible to prepare meals and entertain on deck.

The P50 Coupé, on the other hand, is designed for cooler climates. It has an enclosed, luxurious saloon and two double cabins inside. According to Spirit Yachts, the first example of the coupé version will be used in the UK as a family boat and support vessel for a sailing yacht.

Timber construction with modern technology

Both P50 models are manufactured using Spirit's typical wood-epoxy construction method. This construction method combines traditional craftsmanship with modern materials. The yachts comply with CE category B (outside coastal waters).

Two Volvo Penta D6 diesel engines, each with an output of 440 hp (324 kW), are used for propulsion. They drive IPS drives (Volvo Penta Integrated Propulsion System), which enable good manoeuvrability using a joystick.

Performance and range

According to the manufacturer, the P50 Sport reaches a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots. At this speed, the range should be around 320 nautical miles.

The somewhat heavier P50 Coupé has a maximum speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots. Its range is stated as 300 nautical miles at cruising speed.

Equipment and utilisation concept

Spirit Yachts emphasises that the P50 models should be easy to operate despite their high technical standard. The focus is on relaxation for the crew and the ability to spontaneously head for new destinations.

The Sport version offers a double cabin and a bathroom as standard. A two-cabin layout is available as an option. The coupé version has two double cabins and two bathrooms as standard.

Both models can store 2,000 litres of fuel and 400 litres of fresh water, making it possible to go on trips lasting several days without stopping.
