Italian water jet propulsion specialist Castoldi is venturing into the saloon tender segment for the first time with the new Jet Tender 34 Limo. In collaboration with the design studio Nauta, a 10.5 metre long boat has been created which, unlike most saloon tenders, is not produced as a one-off but in small series.
The interior of the Jet34 Limo offers space for 12 passengers and 2 crew members and is characterised by a generous headroom of 2.1 metres. The interior has all-round panoramic windows that let in plenty of daylight and provide good all-round visibility. One well thought-out detail is the modular cockpit, which allows different seating arrangements as required - both for social gatherings and for classic transfer trips.
Comfort on board is ensured by an air conditioning system which, according to the manufacturer, can cool the interior to a pleasant temperature within 15 minutes. There is also a pantry and toilet area. Particularly practical: the boat offers several entry points - at the stern, amidships and in the bow - which makes getting on and off much easier.
The Jet Tender 34 Limo is powered by two Yanmar 4LV engines, each with 250 hp (184 kW). Power is transmitted via the jet drive developed by Castoldi. This propulsion technology, which was originally developed for work, military and commercial vessels, ensures excellent manoeuvrability and safety. The manufacturer specifies a maximum speed of 35 knots.
Special attention was paid to noise insulation. The tender has a hidden ventilation system that directs engine noise to the outside. With a dry weight of 5,800 kg, a maximum width of 2.8 metres and a fuel tank of 400 litres, the Jet34 Limo offers a good balance of space and range. The 60-litre water tank supplies the on-board equipment.
The collaboration between Castoldi and Nauta Design aimed to create a boat that is both technically innovative and stylistically timeless. The modular design allows the basic concept to be adapted for other configurations, such as an open saloon or support vessel. The first Jet Tender 34 Limo is to be unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show.
