New glass bending furnaces, machines with CNC control technology and state-of-the-art chemical hardening processes enable Tilse to produce individual panes of up to six metres in length. The company, which was founded 30 years ago in Hamburg, also had solar cells installed on the roof of the hall, covering an area of 1,400 square metres. As the site is difficult to reach by public transport, the trainees have recently been transported in a specially purchased electric bus.
