Just in time for the last holiday weekend in Berlin and Brandenburg, the Inwater trade fair in Werder brings the Riviera feeling back to the Großer Zernsee. Numerous innovations from the water sports industry will be presented this weekend in the middle of the Potsdam and Brandenburg Havel lakes. The open-air summer lifestyle and test event will transform Werder into a paradise for water sports enthusiasts for the seventh time: the programme includes top-class dream boats, a wide variety of dealers and brands, accessories and fun sports to try out. There is something for everyone: from SUP and kayaks to luxury yachts and houseboats. From sporty to cosy. Elegant, modern and innovative. Muscle-powered, electric or classically motorised.
Around 150 boats of almost all segments and sizes will be presented in and on the water - including world and German premieres as well as a wide variety of models from all major brands: from day cruisers such as compact sloops and elegant sports boats to electric boats, travel and family boats, large luxurious yachts and modern houseboats. Models from renowned international manufacturers and brands such as Alfastreet, Aqualine, Balt Yachts, Bavaria, Beneteau, Campione, Delphia, Elling, Finval, Fjord, Futura, Galeon, Greenline, Hydrolift, Jeanneau, JF Boats, Karnic, Maestro, Marex, Marian Boats, Maxima, Luxboot, Nautic, Nautilus Houseboats, Nikhen Yachts, Passion Yachts, Piper Boats, Powerboat, Prestige, Sea Ray, St. Tropez, Thomasz Yachts, Tom Sawyer Boats, VTS Boats and many more. Boot & Fun Inwater in Werder explicitly invites all visitors onto the water: relaxed tours on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP), in a canoe or kayak. Or fly over the water with a little more action on electrically powered foil boards, motorised surfboards - jet boards - or jet skis. Whether muscle-powered or with motorised support - anyone who has always wanted to try out one of these trendy sports has the opportunity here in the reed-green marina area in a sheltered setting. If you want to try flying on the eFoil or test ride a particular board, you must register in advance. log in. Whether beginner or pro - the experienced teams from efoil Berlin and LetsFoil show you how it's done. The basics of eFoiling are explained and practised in a taster session (60 minutes, 45 minutes of which are on the water). Helmet, wetsuit and impact protection waistcoat are provided. Speaking of taster courses: anyone who wants to try out how to park on the water can do so at the Berlin Water Sports School stand. The programme is rounded off by a wide range of products in the sales pagodas along the harbour promenade, live lounge music, a fashion show on Saturday afternoon, top-class food trucks from the region, a champagne bar and a Shantie choir.
The Brandenburg Water Police is responsible for traffic monitoring, for monitoring commercial, sport and leisure boating, for accidents, criminal offences and administrative offences on the water. At Boot & Fun Inwater, it provides information about its work and advises boat owners - and those who want to become one - on theft prevention. It also offers free engraving of outboard motors on site.
From the first swimming course to lifeguard training, water rescue service, education about water hazards - when it comes to safety in, on and around the water, the DLRG, the first contact. This weekend, the team from the Potsdam local group will be providing information about their tasks and the services offered by the world's largest voluntary water rescue organisation. The German Motor Yacht Association will be at Boot & Fun for the first time this year with its own pagoda. The DMYV will be offering to exchange old recreational boating licences for the new, practical and waterproof cheque card format.
Boot & Fun Inwater will take place from 30 August to 1 September 2024 at Marina Havelauen in Werder (Havel) and will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all three days. Admission is free.
