The "Motorboot Sneek" trade fair takes place twice a year and has established itself as a permanent fixture in the trade fair year. Together with Hiswa te Water, it is one of the most important water sports fairs in the Netherlands. The 2026 spring fair opens its doors daily from 17 to 19 April from 10 am to 5 pm. Visitors can view the boats on display free of charge on all three days.
The fair is spread across various shipyards and locations in Sneek. Local water sports companies work together for the event and present their motorboats directly at their berths. Exhibitors from outside the area also show their yachts at the participating boatyards. All locations can be reached on foot or by car.
Shipyards, brokers and dealers show both new and used boats. Visitors can view the yachts directly at the berths and take a look at the shipyards' workshops. The exhibitors take the time to offer advice and answer questions about the buying process. According to the organisers, this personal service continues after the trade fair. In addition to the boats, sponsors will be presenting their products and services relating to water sports.
The Frisian city is considered the water sports capital of the Netherlands and offers infrastructure for trade fair visitors. Hotels and other accommodation make it possible to stay for several days. The city itself is centrally located in the Frisian lake district and serves as a starting point for many water sports enthusiasts. Snacks and drinks are available at the locations during the trade fair.
The organiser announces the boat programme in advance of the trade fair. Previews of the exhibited motorboats appear on the website and in the social media. News about the participating companies is also published there. Website: www.motorbootsneek.de
