Damp

Large-scale construction work also took place at Damp marina. Here, the redevelopment after the 2023 storm surge has reached the next phase. Extensive dredging and dredging work has been underway since April. The harbour will provide around 110 berths in partial operation.

Eckernförde

At Yachtsport Nielsen in Eckernförde, the electrics and sanitary facilities have been completely overhauled. New features include two large bathrooms, a stainless steel sink and a new washing machine and tumble dryer. In addition, the Eckernförde Sailing Club (SCE) has completed its modernisation of the harbour facilities, which has been ongoing for several years. The old wooden jetties have been replaced by concrete floating jetties. These have been fitted with non-slip plastic grids to make them safer to walk on.

But there have been changes not only on the water: The clubhouse and the harbour restaurant have been renovated and are now barrier-free on the upper floor. At the same time, the embankment was reinforced with new sheet piling.

Heiligenhafen

The marina in Heiligenhafen has completely renovated several jetties. Jetties 11 (59 berths) and 12 (114 berths) have been completely rebuilt and jetty 4 has been extensively renovated. All of the marina's new and modernised jetties now have a steel substructure and do without the classic wooden support. Here, too, a GRP grid has been installed instead. Free WLAN will be included for all guests from the coming season.

In addition to the large marinas, clubs and shipyards are also investing in the modernisation of their harbours: there have been structural changes at the Heiligenhafen Sailing Association. The new construction of the guest bridge at the pier was completed, allowing eight more boats to moor at the jetty. The sanitary facilities and the playground were also renovated. In Ortmühle in the marina, the completion of jetty 5 is still to come. The new jetty will provide space for twelve houseboats and a further yacht.
