The yacht and charter insurer has compiled information for skippers and crews that answers important questions about planned or booked trips.

The Croatian Adriatic coast is one of the absolute favourite areas in the Mediterranean in German-speaking countries - both for skippers on their own keel and for charter crews. However, the coronavirus crisis has also brought nautical tourism in Croatia to a standstill for the time being: travelling has been halted and owners and charterers cannot access their boats.

The start of the season is also a long way off between Istria and southern Dalmatia. When exactly it will start again and under what conditions is still completely open.

The yacht and charter insurer Yacht-Pool, with its branch office in Croatia, says it has an excellent network and very good contacts to the official authorities, but also to the charter companies on site, and for this reason has compiled a report on the Corona situation, especially for boaters.

Despite the focus on Croatia, information for France and Italy has also been included. Information from the Yacht-Pool network for Spain and Greece will follow soon. A weekly update is planned for the free service so that owners and charter skippers can always get an up-to-date picture of the situation on the ground. As it was created for an international audience, the report is written in English.

The current version is available under this link for free download ready.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
