Property agent Engel & Völkers has compiled a ranking of the world's most expensive marinas for the first time. The three "top places" go to Italy.

One euro per running metre of boat length - still common practice in many harbours. But there is another way. This is shown by a list from the Hamburg-based company Engel & Völkers. For the first time, global real estate agents have compiled a ranking of the most expensive harbours - and for the 55-metre megayacht used as a basis in the high season, the bill for the guest yachtsman quickly amounts to several thousand euros.

The names of the harbours that appear at the top of the list are also surprising. It is not the mega yacht Mecca of Monaco (which only comes in 11th place), but the Grande Marina on Capri, where owners have to put €2585 on the table. The following places are also occupied by harbours in Italy: Porto Cervo in Sardinia (2574 euros) and the Marina di Portofino on the Amalfi Coast with a daily rate of 2100 euros. The ranking in detail:

  1. Grande Marina (Capri, Italy): 2585 Euro
  2. Porto Cervo (Italy): 2574 Euro
  3. Marina di Portofino (Italy): 2100 Euro
  4. Puerto José Banus (Marbella, Spain): 2069 Euro
  5. Ibiza Magna (Spain): 1643 Euro
  6. Port de Saint-Tropez (France): 1356 Euro
  7. Port Camille Rayon (near Cannes, France): 1100 euros
  8. Marina Port Vell(Barcelona, Spain): 1084 Euro
  9. ACI Marina Split (Croatia): 1001 Euro
  10. Yacht Haven Grande (St Thomas, US Virgin Islands): 889 Euro
  11. Port Hercules(Monaco): 888 Euro
  12. Satur Marina Kalamis (Istanbul, Turkey): 882 Euro
  13. Satur Marina Cesme (Izmir, Turkey): 743 Euro
  14. Porto San Rocco (Italy): 720 Euro
  15. Port de la Plaisance de Bonifacio (France): 690 Euro
