With "This is it", Tecnomar pushes the boundaries of yacht design: a 44-metre catamaran like a spaceship, characterised by glass, flowing shapes and radical asymmetry. Luxury meets experimentation, from a floating pool to a conservatory look. The BOOTE team was on board in Monaco and experienced a concept that leaves conventions behind. We take you on a tour of the three decks.
Our editor Leonie Meyer travelled to Mallorca for the BOOTE sailing training course. 25 readers practised harbour manoeuvres in Port Calanova, anchoring in the most beautiful bays and sailing correctly over waves. Leonie took her BOOTE followers on board on Instagram and showed how the participants rose to the challenges.
In the Baltic Sea Special, Christian Tiedt, head of our travel department, talks about his last summer cruise along the Swedish east coast. A stop on the Harstena excursion island proved just how nice it is there: when Christian knocked over his beer, the waiter smilingly brought a new one. It was on the house, even though hardly anything had been spilt. Tack så mycket!

Anyone planning their next cruise will find plenty of inspiration in this magazine. The Baltic Sea Special takes you to the south-east of Sweden, from Kalmar out into the archipelago. The focus is on an area that scores with islands, small harbours and Scandinavian serenity.
There is also an update on the German Baltic coast between Flensburg and Usedom. The large harbour report provides prices, service offers and information on available berths, i.e. information that is particularly helpful for planning your cruise.
The issue also has a strong line-up in the boat tests. The Jeanneau Merry Fisher 895 competes as a versatile all-rounder and is intended to show how much comfort, sportiness and suitability for everyday use there is in a boat of this size.
Also in the test: the Targa 32, a robust all-weather boat that now comes with an outboard motor and poses the question of how well this concept suits a boat that traditionally stands for safety, toughness and year-round suitability.
In addition, BOOTE addresses a classic drive question: outboard or built-in motor? In the Pros & Cons section, the advantages and disadvantages of both options are summarised.
The new issue offers several practical topics for anyone who wants to keep their boat fit or upgrade it technically. BOOTE visited SVB in Bremen and shows how professionals maintain automatic lifejackets. It also looks at the new stickers and what owners should look out for when checking their safety equipment.
In the technology section, the editorial team tests the SeaRebel mobile autopilot. The system is plugged into the steering wheel, is designed to navigate routes and take the strain off the skipper. BOOTE tests how well the "autopilot to go" works in practice.
The editorial team also reports on the BOOTE sailing training programme on Mallorca. There, readers practised harbour manoeuvres, anchoring and sailing over waves. The magazine is not about theory, but about on-board practice, mistakes, learning effects and concrete tips for everyday life on the water.
A visit on board "This is it" is a real eye-opener. The 44-metre catamaran from Tecnomar breaks with classic yacht conventions: Glass, flowing shapes, radical asymmetry and a design that is more reminiscent of a spaceship than a classic motor yacht.
There is also a portrait of Espen Øino, one of the world's best-known superyacht designers. Those looking more closely at the used boat market will find buying advice on popular models, value stability and possible cost traps.
Other topics in the magazine: new premieres of Delta, SAY and Nordkapp, the series Boat Fishing for the Bow Motor, the question of whether Shackleton's "Endurance" was really unsuitable, the glossary "Late Love" and the big reader photo competition with prizes worth more than 3,000 euros.
Whether planning a cruise, buying a boat, safety, technology or simply great stories from the water: BOOTE 6/2026 is a magazine for everyone who is preparing for the season, looking for new ideas or looking forward to the next few days on board.
