Restricted area buoy in the Fehmarnbelt.
A new restricted area is being created in the Fehmarnbelt due to the construction of the tunnel. As announced by the BSH in its notices to mariners, this will apply from Easter Monday, 21 April.

The new restricted area is indicated by buoys in the following positions:

  • S1 54°29,9243'N 011°14,7195'E
  • S2 54°30,1708'N 011°15,0023'E
  • S3 54°30,4173'N 011°15,2853'E
  • S4 54°30,6912'N 011°14,5631'E
  • S5 54°30,4258'N 011°14,3284'E

The BfS also states: "Positions S1) to S5) are marked by g/r/g light buoys (yellow, Blz. (2+1) 15s) with g. horizontal cross. Shipping is requested to keep sufficient distance. Increased attention, caution and consideration are requested. Adverse circumstances may necessitate a change of date at short notice. Further information is available from Fehmarnbelt Traffic on VHF channel 68 on request."
