The boat show on Lake Constance is a very special event, as new products and activities are not only presented in the halls and on the exhibition grounds, but also on the exhibition lake in front of the halls and in the Interboot harbour. The latter is connected to the trade fair centre by a free shuttle.
The trade fair promises a wealth of highlights, and Felix Klarmann, Project Manager of the trade fair, emphasises: "I am particularly looking forward to this year's special show on the subject of beginner boats. Promoting young talent is something that is increasingly preoccupying the industry. We want to get young people more interested in water sports again. The topic of sustainability has also become indispensable and will attract prominent speakers such as Transport Minister Winfried Hermann to our lecture stage this year."
Visitors come not only from Germany, but also in large numbers from the neighbouring countries of Austria and Switzerland. So it goes without saying that dealers and shipyards from neighbouring countries will also be exhibiting. The Swiss Boat Builders' Association, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, can be found in Hall B1. On Thursday, 25 September, the "Swiss Day" will take place with special activities.
In three halls and on the open-air site, manufacturers and dealers will be exhibiting motorboats with the corresponding petrol, diesel or electric engines. Anyone looking for the right accessories for their boat will also find what they are looking for. In a total of eight exhibition halls, on the exhibition lake and in the Interboot harbour, visitors can look forward to a wide range of hands-on activities, including specialist presentations and practical experiences for water sports enthusiasts of today and tomorrow. Among the many sports, the pump- and wingfoiling event with kitesurfer Ben Beholz on the exhibition lake is a highlight, and workshops will be offered to interested visitors. From 24 to 28 September, Interboot will also be showing what the water sports of the future will look like.
With a clear focus on innovation, newcomers and sustainability, the trade fair sets new impulses: In Hall B2, the special show "My first boat" is dedicated to the needs of newcomers to water sports. Here, topics such as financing, insurance and moorings are explained in a practical way. The sustainable transformation of Lake Constance shipping by 2040 will be the subject of the "Green Waves" programme. This series of events will conclude on 27 September. At the same time, the International Watersports Association of Lake Constance (IWGB) will be organising an Environment Day with numerous information offers and hands-on activities. The Interboot harbour promises exciting experiences with water ski shows, blue light day and "Ladies only!" motorboat training. motorboat training promises exciting experiences on the water.
