Launch of a missile at sea.
From 1 July, the navy will be conducting firing exercises in the area around Rügen. WSA Stralsund has set up two fixed training areas for this purpose.

How the Stralsund Waterways and Shipping Authority in his Notice to mariners (T) 74/11 military exercises must be expected in the two areas mentioned below from 1 July until the end of the year. In Area 1, artillery and missiles will be fired at sea and air targets, while torpedo firing will take place in Area 2.

Shooting takes place day and night, depending on the field of fire. There is no cordoning off.

When shooting, the vehicles involved display the NE4 signal in accordance with the international signalling book. If a vessel approaches the target in the dark in a dangerous manner, the target tug shoots flares with white stars and illuminates the target. Vessels taking part in the shooting must carry the lights and signalling devices prescribed in the KVR and the SeeschStrO. Shipping is requested to pay increased attention.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
