Anyone mooring in Heiligenhafen this week can enjoy free concerts with virtuoso guitar sounds! Guitarist and composer Claus Boesser-Ferrari will be giving concerts on the sailing yacht "Neverland" in aid of the German Child Protection Association (DKSB).

Virtuoso guitar sounds on the promenade and on Fehmarn

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, 3 and 4 September 2025, the "Neverland" will dock on the promenade in the west of Heiligenhafen Marina in front of the "O'Marinheiro" restaurant. From 17:00 hrs. Claus Boesser-Ferrari pick up the guitar. On Friday, the "Neverland" heads for Fehmarn, where the guitarist will perform on Saturday as part of the "Fehmarn Open Air Festival" will also be performing. This legendary festival, where Jimi Hendrix gave his last performance before his death, has been held free of charge and in the open air since 1970.

The audience can look forward to extraordinary and virtuoso musical experiences are delighted. Die Zeit" describes the sound of the guitarist and composer's works as "painterly, beautiful, expressionist music" that evokes images, films and natural events. The "Neue" ZÜRICHER "Zeitung" describes him as a "great musical pathfinder". Boesser-Ferrari has written plays for theatres in Zurich, Berlin, Basel and Hamburg. Donation cruise for "Nummer gegen Kummer"

The free concerts are part of a fundraising campaign that Klaus Wehle and his "Neverland" have been organising regularly for several years. The first leg of their voyages began in April and travelled around Denmark. "The Neverland donates 50 euros per harbour to a good cause," explains the skipper and volunteer for the Landau-SÜW child protection association. Along the way, he gives sailors tips on routes and harbours for their own trips and collects additional donations for the DKSB. By the end of June, 2,150 euros had already been collected. With the upcoming concerts, the crew hopes to reach this year's donation target of 5,000 euros.

Klaus Wehle would like to use the money raised to finance the training of a group of volunteers for the DKSB's child and youth helpline. At the nationwide "Number against grief"which can be reached on 116111, adolescents can talk about their worries anonymously and free of charge. Volunteer counsellors offer relief and develop solution strategies together with the callers. They are trained by a qualified psychologist in an eighty-hour course.
