The editors-in-chief and testers of the renowned motorboat magazines "Boatmag.it", "Bätliv", "Neptune", "Marina CH", "Motorboot", "Nautica i Yates", "Yachtrevue" and BOOTE are once again spoilt for choice. The search is on for the best of the year in five different categories, ranging from 8-metre sports boats to 20-metre motor yachts. No easy task with more than 200 new launches - even if the "polling station" is back in Cannes on the Côte d'Azur this year after an unintentional detour to the home office. The expert jury from the European trade press exchanges results and points of view, discusses - often controversially - and then selects the nominees for the European Powerboat Award 2022 in an open vote. It is important to note that only boats that have been tested by the jury prior to the vote may be selected. The writing guild will scrutinise workmanship, handling characteristics, safety, room layout, value for money and the implementation of innovative ideas. As is (almost) always the case, the award winners are then announced at boot in Düsseldorf.
