"Over the past few years, we have proven that Axopar is shaking up the boat market by building boats that stand out from the crowd with their looks, handling and performance," announces Jan-Erik Viitala, co-founder of the brand, at the presentation of the Axopar 45 under the Mallorcan sun, giving an outlook: "Our designers have once again achieved such success with the new Axopar 45 line, which is set to take the motorboat market by storm."
With the new Axopar 45, the shipyard is actually entering completely new territory, because after having conquered the market so far with the concept of smaller, seaworthy and comfortable boats (currently: Axopar 22, 25, 28 and 37), the new 45 takes up the same concept of efficient hulls with different decks and modular construction of the extras, but offers much more space than all the other boats in the range.
The Axopar 45 XC Cross Cabin is the first model in the new series and is already unique on the market: a 45-foot boat with a fully enclosed cabin that you can walk around and powered by three Mercury V8 300 Verado outboards. The shipyard will have a total of five versions in its repertoire in future: an Axopar 45 Spyder (S, without superstructure), T-Top (TT ), Sun-Top (ST), Cross Top (CT) and the 45 XC Cross Cabin (XC).
The new 45 offers more space than ever before. Axopar sees its target group as people who feel the need to simplify their lives by "rightsizing". Unlike the downsizing trend, which in recent years with tiny homes and similar frugal solutions has been about making life easier through minimalist approaches, "rightsizing" is about finding out what I don't need and what is important to me instead. An approach that focuses much more closely on people and their needs. So if, instead of a large cruiser that generates a lot of mooring space and maintenance costs, you would much rather see a spacious, comfortable and multifunctional, fast but uncomplicated, simple, economical and stylish boat in your life - the Axopar 45 is the boat of choice for you.
With its three Mercury V8 300 Verado engines, the Axopar 45 has its most economical cruising range between 19 and 35 knots, according to the shipyard. The cockpit has an extremely "clean" design in true Axopar style, with many important systems operated via a glass cockpit with Simrad touchpad displays. The boat is also equipped with a variety of technological gadgets to ensure the best possible manoeuvrability and handling.
