Sing-along concert

Thursday evening’s musical opener will focus on communal singing. From 7.00 pm, Sören Schröder, the initiator of the ‘Deine Stadt singt’ event series, will lead the participatory event at the fairground. The audience will be actively involved and, under his guidance, will form a large choir. To make it easier for all guests to sing along, the lyrics to well-known classics and current hits will be displayed on a big screen.

Friday kicks off in the afternoon at 2.30 pm with the band ‘Acoustic Bricks’, who will be performing rock and pop songs at the marina. From 6.00 pm, a DJ will provide the music on the site, before the North German party band “Cosmopauli” takes to the stage at 7.30 pm.

Saturday brings one final highlight to round off the event. Between 11.00 and 17.00, the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) is hosting an ‘Open Ship’ event on the rescue vessel ‘Felix Sand”. The crew will be offering an insight into the day-to-day life and duties of these lifesavers – who are funded entirely by donations – on the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. The afternoon will be accompanied by music from the acoustic duo “Klaroscuro”, starting at 3.00 pm. The festivities will conclude at 7.30 pm with a performance by the German-language pop-rock band “Jeden Tag Silverster”. You can find the official programme here.
