The name is no coincidence: the 7.77 metre long NERO 777 Evolution is a novelty on the boat market. The yacht is powered by a powerful 300+kW (400 hp) Evoy Hurricane inboard engine. According to the company, the NERO 777 Evolution is one of the most impressive sports weekend boats under 8 metres. The yacht is particularly suitable for inland waters.
Behind the idea is the Munich entrepreneur Moritz Pfaller, a passionate boater who, together with his Italian design team, has realised a number of technical highlights.
Each boat is individually manufactured, with the hull made of a lightweight carbon fibre composite material. This reduces the weight and thus extends the range. In addition, the so-called "petestep technology" reduces resistance in the water, which lowers energy consumption by up to 35 per cent.
Another feature of the NERO 777 Evolution is the ability to enlarge the deck space. By lowering the aft hull sides, additional floor space is created, which can be utilised by multifunctional seats and sun loungers. In addition, wide steps have been installed for safe access to the front deck and special storage facilities for shoes.
Moritz Pfaller, Managing Director of NERO Yachts, is proud of the innovative design: "Our technology partner Grob Aircraft has decades of experience in the construction of carbon fibre composite aircraft. Together with Evoy as the engine supplier, we have a winning team behind us."
Leif A. Stavøstrand, CEO of Evoy, also sees a great future for the project: "The zero-emission NERO Yachts 777 Evolution has an exciting future to look forward to. We are proud to be part of this journey."
The premiere of the NERO 777 Evolution is scheduled for 2024.
