This is more than just a facelift: last year, the Finnish sports boat brand Aquador began to rejuvenate its entire model range. It started with the 300 HT. But the renewal continues

The slightly newer and smaller model is the Aquador 250 HT. It celebrated its international premiere at the end of January at boot Düsseldorf. The new trio will then be completed by the 350 HT, which has already been announced for the 2025 model year.

Fast and all-weather cabin cruisers are built at Aquador in Kuopio for more than fifty years. The town is located in the north of the extensive Saimaa lake area, the largest contiguous inland area in Europe. The great distances and the highly changeable weather in the south of Finland, even in summer, have always influenced boatbuilding in this region - and have led to characteristics that are not only justified in Scandinavia but also in the rest of Northern Europe.

The 250 HT is no different: the additional abbreviation stands for Hard Top. The plastic roof protects the entire cockpit from adverse weather conditions.

Four large skylights also provide plenty of light from above - and not just when the sun is shining. Although the deckhouse is open to the aft, the roof, which extends to the cockpit edge, ensures that this area can be easily closed off with tarpaulin elements so that the L-shaped upholstered bench with table and galley remain dry.

In front of this are the driver's seat (to starboard) and co-driver's seat with the companionway between them closed by a sliding door. Below deck, the 7.83 m long and 2.64 m wide glider offers three berths in a modern design: two as V-berths in the bow and another to starboard. There is also a separate WC with washbasin. The seating area in the cockpit can also be converted into a fourth berth in a few simple steps.

It is clear to see that safety plays a major role in the design and equipment of the Aquador 250 HT - as with many Scandinavian boats.

This philosophy is not only reflected in the side decks flanked by railings and numerous handholds or the comparatively large bathing platform. The technology also speaks for itself: the bow thruster, windscreen washer nozzles, depth sounder and hull spotlights fore and aft are not extras but standard features.

There is a choice of two Mercury outboards at the transom of the "Aqua Dynamic" hull: the 225 HP V6 or the somewhat more powerful 250 HP V8. Either way, there is enough power to get the 2800 kg boat from point A to point B, even over longer distances. The fuel tank holds 245 litres. Aquador Boats has been part of the Swedish Group since 2018 Nimbus Boats. They are still built in Finland.
