Saxdor 400 GTO: The Finnish-Slovenian design is built in Poland and runs at up to 48 knots. Axopar co-founder Sakari Mattila is behind the brand
With the 400 GTO, Saxdor presents a new, innovative flagship model without hoses. We present the features that the model has to offer

A Finnish brand that manufactures RIBs without hoses in its own Polish production facility. A similar constellation is already very successful on the market. However, Saxdor is not just a derivative; Sakari Mattila is behind it. The Finn was one of the founders of Aquador, Paragon, XO Boats and Axopar and worked on the designs for his latest venture with the Slovenian studio VOM Creations.

New flagship from Saxdor

The three models (20, 27 and 32 feet) are now joined by a new flagship, the 12.40 metre long 400 GTO. And it impresses with two four-metre-long hull balconies that fold down to the flanks via gas pressure springs and increase the width from 3.55 metres to 4.95 metres. Ropes running through the bulwark make hauling in easier and provide additional safety. The outboard walkway on the starboard side is particularly welcome, as the asymmetrical deck layout does not allow for a gangway here. The helm station and three-step companionway, behind which a single bed is optionally installed, are all the wider.

In the bow there is a sleeping area and a separate wet room with a headroom of 1.83 metres. A hatch under the berth behind the superstructure leads to a second cabin, which is not included in the otherwise rich basic equipment. The 400 GTO leaves the Saxdor factory with a galley module, bow thruster, ZipWake trim tabs, convertible roof and two Simrad displays (9 and 16 inch) as standard.

The base price of 222,000 euros also includes the two eight-cylinder outboards from Mercury, each with an output of 224 kilowatts. With the largest possible engine (588 kW), the 400, built using the vacuum infusion process, accelerates to 48 knots. Soon to be fully protected: Mattila and his team already have plans for the fully enclosed GTC version on the table.
