After the great success of the DOM133 with twelve units sold and the DOM115 with four orders already, the Italian shipyard presents the new flagship of the line: the DOM155. The displacer under 500 GT was presented on 13 January 2026 in La Spezia and is aimed at customers who already appreciated the concept of the Roman domus at sea - cosy and inviting townhouses with an atrium - in the previous models.
With the DOM155, this concept has now been transferred to even larger volumes and greater living comfort. Her exterior lines retain the characteristic design of the series, but appear even more harmonious. Construction number one - with a top speed of 16 knots - will be launched at the beginning of 2029.
Designer Stefano Vafiadis describes the look of the DOM155 as "clean and sculptural, never exaggerated, balanced and strong, with longitudinal sections and shapes inspired by automotive design." The aluminium construction material was already used in the DOM133 and allows more customisation options for the layout and improves performance with a shallow draft.
All of this makes the project attractive for the American market, one of the most important for the shipyard from La Spezia. Fabio Ermetto, Chief Commercial Officer at Baglietto, explains: "The DOM155 is the result of listening carefully to our customers. They have responded enthusiastically to both the 35 and 41 metre models, but have repeatedly expressed interest in larger dimensions."
The centrepiece of the 47-metre boat is the stern area, a real retreat with an infinity pool. Large stairs on both sides lead to the aft cockpit. The port staircase can be lowered to provide access to the technology of the beach club below.
This space can be configured as a wellness area with spa and gym. Alternatively, an additional garage for a larger dinghy can be created here. The aft bathing platform is extended by a large transformer, which guests can use to jump into the water or get ashore in the harbour.
As with the DOM133 and DOM155, floor-to-ceiling glazing and seamless transitions between the interior and exterior spaces, particularly around the main saloon, stand out. From the lobby on the main deck, the crew can access the galley and pantry, while a corridor leads to the owner's suite with office, dressing room and XL bathroom.
Four further guest cabins are located on the lower deck, with the option of an additional suite one floor above. In the forward area of the lower deck, there is space for eight crew members in four en suite cabins, together with a separate mess room and laundry facilities.
The saloon on the upper deck, which is open on three sides, offers plenty of natural light and optimum ventilation. In front of the wheelhouse, guests enjoy the trip in complete privacy, while the bow accommodates the tender and a jet ski.
The 130 square metre sun deck opens up to a 360-degree sea view. Up here, guests will find sun loungers, a lounge and another infinity pool with a bar.
Baglietto specialises in aluminium gliders and steel-aluminium semi-displacement vessels with lengths between 35 and 65 metres. The shipyard currently operates at two sites in La Spezia and Carrara. The headquarters in La Spezia covers an area of around 35,000 square metres.
In recent years, Baglietto has invested considerable sums to comprehensively renovate the entire production site. Three new halls for the construction of yachts up to 65 metres in length and new quays for ships up to 70 metres have been built in La Spezia. A travel lift weighing around 1,200 tonnes - the largest in Europe - enables the lifting and launching of yachts up to 65 metres in length.
