Nuvolari Lenard announces a co-operation with Camper & Nicholsons to develop a new series of yachts. The models will be built in Turkey and will offer customers a customised concept

The Italian company announces an intensive collaboration with Camper & Nicholsons. The design and construction studio has created a new series that the international brokerage house will promote, co-develop and sell. All three models, the NL 50 Plus, NL 60 Plus and NL 65 Plus, will be built at the Mengi Yay shipyard in Turkey. The 52 metre long NL 50 with an interior volume of just under 500 gross tonnes is already being built there, while the two larger sisters are still on the virtual drawing boards.

The aim of Nuvolari Lenard's project

In order to speed up the process, other professionals, such as the Dutch firm Van Oossanen, are also working on the design plans. The aim of the project is to offer potential customers a fully developed concept that will result in the delivery of a largely customised yacht as quickly as possible. Paolo Casani, Managing Director of Camper & Nicholsons, fires up the marketing strategy for the NL Plus trio with explanations such as: "Here, Carlo Nuvolari and Dan Lenard applied the design philosophy of a 100-metre yacht to a 50-metre yacht." The creative team from Venice seems to be the right address for this, as the large yacht references include Lürssen large formats such as the 115 metre long "Lady Jorgia" (Ex-"Ahpo" issue 5/22) and many more.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
