The first Oceano 39 was launched in Viareggio, where all composite models are manufactured. The steel-aluminium formats are welded by Overmarine, Mangusta's parent company on the Navicelli Canal near Pisa. The entry-level model in the displacement line is visually based on the Oceano 44 presented last year, whose lines Alberto Mancini also emphasises with long window strips and large glass surfaces both horizontally and vertically. The upper deck is drawn towards the sky through floor-to-ceiling windows, which allow the glass bulwark to come into its own and provide an unobstructed view. The bow has the usual arrow-like shape with plenty of volume. Overmarine collaborated with Studio Verme for the construction of the 39.20 metre GRP hull and the carbon superstructure.
With an interior volume of 320 gross tonnes, the Oceano 39 even shares features with its big sisters: the stern offers folding terraces and access to the beach club. And the 39 metres also have the infinity pool on the foredeck with a partially glazed floor that is familiar from the 44. Two 1286-kilowatt MTUs propel the 215-tonner to 16 knots, with a range of 2600 nautical miles. The layout is classic: four guest cabins are located on the lower deck, with the master suite above. The Italians have construction number three ready for last-minute buyers, which is expected to be completed in November 2024.
