Passed! The number eight of the Martinique-122 series from Moonen Yachts has successfully completed its sea trials. The tests confirmed the performance of the 37-metre yacht.

The multi-day tests in the North Sea took place in May 2026 under challenging conditions and served to validate all systems. The programme included endurance tests in which the Moonen Yachts team tested manoeuvrability, stability, noise and vibration levels across all operating parameters.

The 37-metre yacht showed performance values that exceeded expectations. Moonen has designed the Martinique-122 series for long-distance cruising and comfortable family life on board. "Lollipop" will be delivered in the coming weeks. Martinique number four.

Final work at Moonen Yachts

"This is always one of the most rewarding phases of a build project," says Ian Vermoen, Project Manager at Moonen Yachts. "To see the yacht perform so confidently during her endurance tests is a testament to the dedication and craftsmanship of everyone involved. She has mastered the North Sea beautifully and is now fully prepared to begin her voyages."

Following the test runs, the final outfitting work and preparations are now underway before the shipyard in Den Bosch hands over "Lollipop" to her owners. Delivery is planned for the coming weeks, before the start of the summer season. The owners will spend the first season with their "Lollipop" in European waters.

Uske was born just outside Volkswagen in 1970 and tested various small boats with sails through her boyfriend (now husband 😊) on a quarry pond. Her studies in Kiel took her to the Baltic Sea with boats of all kinds and eventually to a regatta from Hong Kong to Mauritius via the Academic Sailing Club. Her teacher training ended at the Burda School of Journalism in Munich instead of in the classroom and finally at Boote Exclusiv. After a long break and various stories about house building, she returned to Delius Klasing and has been filling the magazine with long stories about large ships ever since. A family-owned H-boat was quickly sold again as the mother realized that sailing with two small children was neither relaxing nor fun.
