At 36 metres in length, the Sirena 118 is the largest GRP model produced by the Turkish shipyard Sirena Yachts. The motor yacht was launched in Bursa in July 2026. With an interior volume of just under 300 gross tonnes, it remains below the 300-tonne threshold. This allows for spacious interiors whilst reducing operating costs and meeting less stringent registration requirements. By way of comparison: the 42-metre-long metal flagship The vessel from the Sirena Superyachts subsidiary has a gross tonnage of 433.

Hull shape and propulsion

The hull is made entirely of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic. Germán Frers’ Argentine design studio is responsible for the design. The shipyard has implemented a fast-displacement hull that efficiently transitions between pure displacement and planing modes. The exterior design was created by the shipyard’s in-house team and features the vertical stem typical of Sirena. Two MAN V12 diesel engines, each producing 1,550 PS (1,140 kW), power the 118. The top speed is 16 knots. Engines delivering 1,900 PS (1,397 kW) are available at an additional cost, which are said to enable a top speed of 21 knots.

Layout across three decks

The Sirena 118’s interior space is spread across three decks. The lower deck accommodates up to six guest cabins. Owners may alternatively opt for a two-storey owner’s suite. This connects a cabin on the main deck with a private area one level below. From there, there is direct access to the water. The Dutch studio Cor D. Rover designed the interior. The shipyard offers a choice of different layouts and materials. In addition to the optional owner’s cabin, the main deck accommodates the saloon and dining area. The upper deck serves as an additional living area.

Premiere in Cannes

Once the final fitting-out is complete, the Sirena 118 will be unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026. Çağin Genc, Managing Director of Sirena Marine, describes the launch as an important step for the shipyard. The yacht showcases the team’s craftsmanship. With this model, the shipyard aims to strengthen its position in the larger yacht segment. At the same time, the Sirena 118 is set to continue the brand’s established principles: fuel efficiency and flexible use of space.
