The Bivy Stick is an innovative device that can turn a mobile phone into a satellite communication device. With worldwide satellite coverage via the Iridium satellite network, the Bivy Stick can be used to communicate wherever the sky is visible. The compact stick offers a variety of features, including two-way text messaging, SOS emergency function, location sharing, one-touch check and detailed weather reports sent directly to your mobile phone. One feature of the Bivy is the provision of a dedicated phone number and email address for users, meaning they can be contacted at any time. The use of the Bivy Stick requires credits, for example for sending and receiving messages or weather forecasts. The prices are scaled differently. For example, the basic weather report costs one credit and the premium weather report costs two credits. Checking satellite messages costs 1 credit for every five requests. Unused credits are carried over to the next month and do not expire. Annual plans are billed monthly. An activation fee is charged for the first activation and for reactivations after a cancellation. Price for the device from 369.99 euros
Tool manufacturer Ryobi has developed the RDC 18 Swift Clean, a cordless textile cleaner. The device is designed to effortlessly remove spillages, whether on carpets, upholstered furniture or car interiors. The device works like a wet vacuum cleaner: the mixture of water and cleaning agent is filled into the internal tank and applied to the area to be cleaned at the touch of a button. A rotating brush helps to loosen the dirt. Everything is then vacuumed away. The RDC 18 promises hygienic deep cleaning without stains. Price without battery: from 125 euros.
The Scubajet drive system can be used not only to move a small kayak, but also for diving and stand-up paddle boarding. Various adapters allow the motor to be used for a wide range of water sports activities. The kayak adapter can be used for kayaking, for example, while the SUP kit can be used to replace the original fin of a stand-up paddleboard with the drive. If you want, you can also use it to dive to depths of up to 60 metres. The diver is then simply pulled through the water. The motor is controlled via a watch on the wrist, an Apple Watch or via specially developed solutions, for example when diving. The Scubajet is available in three versions. The Neo version has a 500 Wh battery with a maximum speed of 5.4 kilometres per hour and a specified runtime of 30 minutes at crusing speed. The Pro and Pro XR models are equipped with a 1000-watt motor and accelerate the stand-up board or diver up to 7.2 kilometres per hour. The all-in-one kit in the Pro version costs 3231 euros.
The RemigoOne is a fully integrated electric outboard motor from Slovenia. The brushless motor has an output of 1000 watts and weighs 14.5 kilograms including a lithium-ion battery with 1085 watt hours and motor mount. The shaft length is variable and a maximum depth of 800 millimetres is possible. The motor is mounted like a petrol outboard motor using a standard motor bracket. Acceleration is controlled via two labelled buttons on the head of the outboard. According to the manufacturer, a speed of up to five knots can be achieved. At this speed, a range of around nine kilometres is specified. When driving in eco mode and at two knots, the range is specified as 55 kilometres. According to the manufacturer, the battery should be fully recharged in six hours with a standard charger. This time is halved with a quick charger. The manufacturer itself compares the power of the outboard with that of a 3 hp petrol outboard. Price: from 2618 euros.
