Pirelli is one of the largest tyre manufacturers in the world, but the company is also known for investing in other projects. One of these is the Pirelli 1900 which was designed at the beginning of the year in collaboration with the inflatable boat manufacturer Tecnorib and is now making its grand entrance at the Cannes Yachting Festival will have.
With aCarbon hardtop and resin-cast hull, Pirelli aims to lower the centre of gravity of the boat as much as possible and thus improve performance. The design is strongly based on the Pirelli 1400, but now focusses on the joint area.
A largeSun-Lounging-Area is located in the bow, while the entire cockpit in the stern can be customised according to the customer's wishes. The standard layout consists oftwo cabinsone in the bow, the other in the stern, and a communal area in the centre, where the galley is also located. The dinette can be converted into another berth. In another version (which will be on show at the trade fair in Cannes), the large storage compartment has been converted into another cabin for the crew.
Two 800 HP MAN 16 engines purr away in the engine compartment, propelling the RIB up to45 knots bring. Joysticks and an automatic trim system simplify handling.
As always, the Pirelli 1900 also features thedistinctive tyre treads on the inner tubes. These are intended to pay tribute to the expertise gained in tyres that Pirelli has designed specifically for particularly wet roads.
