Visually, the layout of the new Liberty is reminiscent of the tried and tested Horizon.
It is one of the biggest investments ever made in the charter industry: Le Boat has ordered 400 new houseboats for a volume of 100 million euros. The ten-year project with the French Groupe Beneteau will increase the fleet of Europe's largest provider of licence-free boating holidays on inland waterways to 1,300 boats.

The co-operation is between Le Boat and Beneteau's Polish subsidiary Delphia and provides for 100 newbuilds to be delivered over the next three years. Two thirds of these will be models from the current Horizon series, which also originates from this co-operation. However, there will also be 34 boats in a new premium category.

Liberty: Le Boat focuses on new premium model

The new model will bear the name Liberty and open up further customer potential at the upper end of Le Boat's product range. In terms of comfort, equipment and ease of use, the displacers are set to set new standards.

For example, holidaymakers will find a built-in dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine on board. Smart TV, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth provide entertainment and communication. Panoramic glazing all around ensures optimum views and plenty of light in the saloon. As with the Horizon series, the Liberty's design also includes a spacious and well-equipped flybridge.

Several versions with different numbers of cabins in the foredeck are planned. The first examples of the Liberty (in the one- and two-cabin versions) will be available at selected charter bases in Germany, France, England and the Netherlands for the 2025 season and can already be booked. A larger version with three to four cabins has been announced for 2027.

Christian Tiedt was born in Hamburg in 1975, but grew up in the northern suburbs of the city - except for numerous visits to the harbor, North Sea and Baltic Sea, but without direct access to water sports for a long time. His first adventures then took place on dry land: With the classics from Chichester, Slocum and Co. After completing his vocational training, his studies finally gave him the opportunity (in terms of time) to get active on the water - and to obtain the relevant licenses. First with cruising and then, when he joined BOOTE in 2004, with motorboats of all kinds. In the meantime, Christian has been able to get to know almost all of Europe (and some more distant destinations) on his own keel and prefers to share his adventures and experiences as head of the travel department for YACHT and BOOTE in cruise reports.
