You can find inspiration for a charter cruise in the area in our travel reports:

The charter provider Yachtcharter Schulz has equipped its centre in Kröslin harbour near Usedom with additional boats. This expands the offer on the southern Baltic Sea. In future, more boat types and sizes will be available here.

The expansion of the fleet means that the offer is geared towards different crew sizes, comfort requirements and cruise types - from short coastal cruises to longer, more natural cruises in sheltered water landscapes. Kröslin is the starting point for routes along the Baltic coast and into the river landscape of the Peene. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it on quiet stretches of the Peene - if you love wide open spaces and sea air, head towards Usedom or onwards to Rügen.

Charter for beginners and experienced skippers

Yachtcharter Schulz caters for both beginners and more experienced skippers with its range of services at the various locations. The location in Kröslin makes it possible to sail in open sea areas towards Usedom and Rügen as well as quieter routes in natural waters towards the south. The Peene is one of the most scenic areas in the region and is mainly used for leisurely cruises. The Baltic coast is known for its beaches, cliffs and bays, which are ideal for swimming, fishing and relaxing. With the Hanseatic city of Stralsund, there is also a larger city to visit.

A recreational boating licence is required to sail in the area around Kröslin. Anyone interested in a charter can find out about suitable boat types from the provider and receive advice on planning the area. More information: Charter-Schulz.de

Jill Grigoleit was born in Hanover in 1985. An early childhood memory is the large collection of YACHT and SURF magazines from her sailing and surfing enthusiast father. However, growing up in a small Swabian village on the Neckar, she had less to do with water sports in her childhood, apart from a few trips to the Baltic Sea with her family. After studying journalism in Bremen and Hanover, she went into television for a few years. Through a few lucky coincidences, she ended up on the water in 2011 and then returned to the written word professionally. For over ten years, she lived with her family on a houseboat in their own harbor south of Hamburg and wrote a book about houseboat building and life with children on the water. Since 2020, she has mainly been writing travel reports and features about people who live and work on and near the water for BOOTE. She has been a permanent member of the Delius Klasing water sports editorial team since January 2024.
