A new model from Bavaria was presented at boot in Düsseldorf at the end of January. The relatively new SR series is designed to be comfortable and sporty. The new SR 33 can say the same.

The SR 33 is even smaller: Bavaria unveiled the third (and most compact) model in its relatively new SR series at boot Düsseldorf at the end of January. According to the shipyard, the letter combination stands for the synthesis of sport and relaxation, which is intended to combine the characteristics of the S and R models that have been on the market for some time. Anyone who took a look at the new model at the Giebelstadt-based company's trade fair stand did indeed get to see an all-round contemporary sports boat with an impressive modern exterior and well thought-out space concept.

With an overall length of 11.40 m (whereby the bathing platform adds around half a metre) and a width of 3.46 m, the GRP hull offers enough space and comfort for four people - even on trips lasting several days. This is ensured by the deck layout with sufficient seating in the cockpit area, although only the driver's and co-driver's seats are fully protected from wind and weather by the hardtop. The option for good weather is clever: the aft-facing bench seat on the bathing platform can be converted into an additional seating area with table in a few simple steps. Nothing stands in the way of a sundowner right on the water.

The walkable side decks, which lead to the cushioned sunbathing area on the foredeck, also make a safe impression. The high freeboard should also pay off in rougher sea conditions. The draught is specified as 0.86 m, the CE category as B8/C10.

Bavaria focusses on a generous sense of space

Below deck, the designers have focussed on a generous feeling of space: this is ensured on the one hand by the many hull windows and on the other by the bow area with V-berth, which is completely open to the very cosy saloon. However, if more than two people are sleeping on board, this handicap is not too significant in terms of privacy, as the guest cabin is separated amidships by a door. It is located aft and has another double berth. Access is on the port side next to the companionway.

The Bavaria SR 33 is available with various single engine options (Volvo Penta with 380 hp) and more powerful twin engines from Volvo Penta and Mercruiser in the 500 to 700 hp power range. The glider's fuel tank has a capacity of 500 litres.
