Anyone who has ever stepped aboard a stately catamaran – whether as the owner or a guest – is usually quickly won over by the advantages of these space-saving marvels. In addition to their stable handling, they feature huge saloons and suites, which, thanks to their design, are sometimes pleasantly spaced out from one another.
Anyone interested should head to the Old Port (Vieux Port) at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival and, for example, visit the Power Cat Village in the Pantiero area – right in the heart of the venue. Then it’s a case of introducing yourself, making an appointment and, with a bit of luck, stepping aboard the yacht!
Amidst the motor yachts, visitors will come across, for example, the Sunreef brand and its Ultima 88 and 55 models. GranOcean is likely to be less well known; the company’s W-72 which is being brought from China to the Vieux Port and is keen to make a name for itself on the European market. The newly launched Solarkat comes from our own region PY 60 by Pioneer Yachts - from Stralsund to the French coast.
