The Dutch shipyard Elling Shipbuilding has comprehensively modernised its tried-and-tested E4 motorboat model. The new version is characterised by a redesigned wheelhouse, which is visually inspired by its larger sister model, the E6.
The exterior design of the E4 has been fundamentally revised and is now much more modern. One of the main features is the newly designed radar bracket, which can be lowered manually. This enables the passage of low bridges, such as those frequently encountered on French inland waterways.
Inside, the skipper and crew benefit from a more spacious wheelhouse. All-round visibility has been optimised thanks to an enlarged rear window, which is particularly advantageous when manoeuvring in narrow harbours.
The shipyard has already launched the first unit of the new E4 generation. This boat will shortly be transferred by ship to the USA and handed over to the owner there. A second unit is to be transferred to Hamburg under its own power in the summer.
Elling Shipbuilding is a Dutch boat builder that specialises in the production of robust and seaworthy motorboats. The company produces various models for long-distance use, with the E4 and E6 being the main models in the portfolio.
