The code name "Ace 21" is circulating on the scene for the 78-metre building; the exterior designers are unknown. The Bremen-based company had to outsource hull production - something that had already happened in the past - because the site in Schacht-Audorf, which is responsible for this size segment, is working at full capacity.
The cooperation with Stahlbau Nord reveals far-reaching links: The shipyard belongs to the Heinrich Rönner Group, which also holds a 50 per cent stake in Lloyd Werft. Lürssen has now acquired a 25 per cent stake in Lloyd, with the remaining shares being held by the Zech Group from Bremen. From there, the 145-metre project "Luminance" to Seatrials and showed the tanzanite blue paintwork as well as complex superstructure designs. Lürssen plans to deliver the Espen-Øino design this summer.
The 90-metre-long "Norn" was built by the same creative address, which moored in Kiel for a remarkably long time after its official delivery and caused quite a stir in the fjord metropolis thanks to its military appearance. A RIB tender was still basking in the sun on the octagonal helipad instead of an aero tender. The owners are expected to arrive from the air for the maiden voyage.
