“With 14 ISA superyachts under construction, we are strengthening our position in the top end of the market, a sector in which we intend to continue investing,” says Managing Director Giuseppe Palumbo. “Poseidon embodies this very approach. It is a project with a strong personality, developed on a solid technical foundation.”
The 86-metre-long steel-and-aluminium project was developed in collaboration with Enrico Gobbi of TEAM for Design, who was responsible for both the exterior and interior design. The naval architecture was developed by the technical department at ISA Yachts.
A striking feature is the high, gently curved bow. The long forward section of the hull flows into a superstructure positioned well aft, resulting in a streamlined profile. The characteristic ISA bow has been refined and made sleeker to blend in harmoniously.
The exterior design alternates between clean, crisp surfaces and soft curves, thereby bringing a sense of movement to the overall architecture. Details such as the side air intakes and the shape of the bodywork are reminiscent of a sports car – for example, the roof of the Skylounge.
When the rear section opens, it reveals a spacious beach club. Fold-out side modules extend the space and create a connection to the outdoors. The area comprises a lounge with sea views, a bar and a hot tub with glass walls.
A passageway in the middle of the ship leads to a wellness area featuring a gym, sauna, steam room and treatment and massage rooms. Two additional balconies can also be opened.
On the main deck is a spectacular T-shaped swimming pool. Its glazed structure is framed by an element reminiscent of a sports car spoiler. This detail looks particularly striking when the pool is illuminated in the evening.
The upper deck is entirely dedicated to the owner and designed as a private retreat. The suite features 360-degree glazing, an office, a dressing room and a bathroom with a separate shower and bath. From here, there is direct access to the forward outdoor area, where another swimming pool is flanked by sun loungers. The foredeck can also be used as a touch-and-go helipad.
The interior layout offers two configurations, with six or seven cabins, accommodating up to 12 or 14 guests respectively. The 18-strong crew are accommodated in ten cabins.
The ISA Poseidon is 12.80 metres wide and has a draught of 3.60 metres (when fully loaded). It is powered by two MTU 16V engines, each with an output of 2,240 kilowatts, enabling a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The estimated range is around 5,000 nautical miles when travelling at twelve knots.
On board, there are two garages available on request: a forward garage for a lifeboat and water sports equipment, and a mid-ship berth for a tender up to 9.5 metres in length – in place of the gym.
