The new trade fair season starts: For over 45 years, shipyards have been showcasing their boats in Cannes. The Cannes Yachting Festival opens its doors this year from 12 to 17 September to showcase around 650 boats. The shipyards will be presenting a large number of new boats.

In this article:

We are publishing the first new launches in this section and will update the list in the coming weeks. Of course, one thing is already certain: the Mediterranean backdrop will give the boats a fantastic ambience.

The power promised in the shipyard name is delivered by Volvo Pentas IPS drives. König Kunde has the choice of 2x 480 or 2x 600 hp, giving the 52 Open a speed of 35 knots in the more powerful version. There is a choice of three different equipment variants in the cockpit. Two large sunbeds, dinghy garage, hardtop, bathing platform and two fold-out balconies are indispensable. The space below deck is shared by the owner's suite, VIP cabin and two separate bathrooms. A "guest room" is optional.

Don't worry, manoeuvring is child's play with Volvo Penta's electronically controlled IPS 1350. The 1000 hp of the turbo diesel engines equipped with pod drives promise a top speed of 23 knots, while the 12700 litre diesel tanks provide long ranges. Lush upholstery and large glass surfaces on the fly and main decks are impressive. Below deck, the VIP cabin, owner's suite and guest cabins share the space. The standard equipment includes air conditioning, generators and a solar panel.

It is clear that the R+ is intended to build on the success of the R6 Open. The new model has been given the same attractive, aggressive profile, making Valerio Rivellini's signature unmistakable. The highlights are the closed deck, Besenzoni's multifunctional platform with fold-out balconies that create space when the cockpit gets too cramped, and a hardtop as a top addition that turns the Open into an R+. Below deck, two cabins with separate bathrooms dominate as usual.

Lomac Grand Turismo 14.0

The search was on for the perfect balance between design, comfort and performance. The result is the Grand Turismo 14.0 designed by Frederico Fiorentino. Three (!) 450 hp outboards make the comfortable flagship of the Family series 56 kn (!) fast. Some of the extras: generator, boiler, hot water, shower, refrigerator, tea deck, sun loungers, hardtop and bow thruster.

Apreamare Gozzo 35 Speedster

A Gozzo is a traditional fishing boat. Or the perfect combination of style and performance. For Marco Casali and Umberto Tagliavini, the Mediterranean soul of the 35 Speedster is unmistakable. Do the Italian fishermen agree? A cabin with a bathroom and double bed is more like "modern art". The same applies to the walkaround concept and the equipment with hardtop, wetbar, sunbed, cockpit sofa and bathing platform. The highlight is Merury's 400 hp ten-cylinder engine, which is installed in a twin pack.

Pearl 72

Never change a winning team: Ian Smallridge, "Team Captain" at Pearl, knows what he wants. Exclusive flybridge motor yachts are a top priority for the British yacht builders. With Bill Dixon and Kelly Hoppen, who are once again responsible for the design, elegant lines and the New York City interior in the four suites, success is guaranteed. The warranty certificate also includes two powerful diesel engines (2x 1622 hp) and a top speed of 32 knots.

Sacs Technorib Pirelli 30

The Pirelli 30 is the first model from the RIB specialists to be designed solely for outboard engines in a twin pack. There is a choice of 2x 300, 2x 250 and 2x 200 hp. Anyone who builds tyres for Formula 1 also wants to be fast on the water, and the Mannerfeld design team is responsible for the fast shapes. Centre console, hardtop, convertible seating groups (sun loungers), pantry block and a "bathroom" are standard.

Riva Diva 82

A diva is either eccentric or highly gifted - at best, both. Admittedly, the design by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta is extravagant, but that's to be expected from a Riva - right? The Diva demonstrates her extraordinary talent in terms of space: 25 metres in length offer room for an XXL flybridge, a beach club with folding terraces, a saloon, owner's suite and three guest cabins.

Saxdor 400 GTO

The capitalised "O" in the type designation stands for the wheelhouse, which is open to the cockpit. Highlights that cannot be overlooked are the sliding roof, fold-out "balconies", wet bar, convertible seating area and the glass door in front of the bathing platform. Those who want to enjoy the wind in its purest form will find their place in the bow cockpit. It gets stormy at the latest when the two 450 hp outboard motors on the transom start up. 400 GTO accelerate to 50 knots. Afterwards, the crew finds peace and quiet in the cabin and the bathroom below deck.

Fiart Seawalker 43 Panorama

The aim was to make the flagship of the Seawalker series more versatile so that long-distance cruises are also on the owners' itinerary. An innovative deck provides more comfort and utility. New features include the windscreen and hardtop, which literally don't leave skipper and mate out in the rain. Volvo Pentas with electronic joystick system and diesel with sterndrive are the main protagonists. Two cabins and a bathroom are always on board.

Prestige M8

Following the successful introduction of the M48 Prestige presents its latest catamaran M8. Like its little brother, it is also designed as a pure motor catamaran. It is characterised by an innovative layout and highly efficient hull, which, according to the shipyard, ensures low fuel consumption. The cruising speed with the two Volvo Penta D8-600 diesels with V-Drive is said to be around 8 knots.

Wellcraft 435

Wellcraft is launching its new series under the name Performance Cruiser. The largest version, the 435, offers two spacious cabins below deck with their own wet cells. According to the shipyard, it is robustly built, is designed to withstand all weathers and is suitable for conquering a wide variety of waters. It is powered by three outboard engines with a total output of over 1000 hp.
