With the Wallywhy 100, the shipyard is launching a weekender on the market that is suitable as a tender for a larger yacht. Now Wally founder Luca Bassani reveals more about the project

Wally reveals the first details of the Wallywhy 100. The 21.50 metre long newcomer originates from the design department of Wally and the Ferretti Group, with the interior being provided by Studio Vallicelli. It rounds off the Why series at the bottom and fulfils the desire for a voluminous coupé under 70 feet. As usual, the model designation refers to the volume of space, in this case 100 gross tonnes.

Commenting on the design, Wally founder Luca Bassani says: "The closed cockpit is positioned far forward to create plenty of space for the living area. The look is sleek and aggressive at the same time." For the Italian, the Wallywhy 100 cuts a fine figure wherever it goes:

She is a spectacular day cruiser or weekender for anyone looking for a tender for a large yacht."

At the same time, the spacious suites, crew accommodation and lounges as well as her storage capacity make her the perfect holiday home at sea. Unlike on similar yachts, the designers of the Wallywhy 100 decided against a split-level concept and have life on board take place on one level.

The 14-square-metre beach club with hydraulic platform is also unusual. Thanks to foldable bulwarks, the area is increased by a further 50 per cent and also allows an unobstructed 180-degree view. Volvo IPS engines for up to 27 knots top speed were chosen for the propulsion. She is steered by joystick - by owners who like to drive themselves.

Technical data of the Wallywhy 100

  • Length over everything: 21,49 m
  • Width: 5,73 m
  • Weight (not loaded): 51 000 kg
  • Speed (max.): 27 kn
