The whisk weighs just 4.7 kilograms and delivers up to 16 kilograms of thrust in forward gear. This makes it ideal for small dinghies, although speed records are of course not to be expected. With the integrated lithium battery, the kicker should last up to
2.5 hours of propulsion. However, this is in the lowest of six gears. In the fastest gear, the energy store is empty in 30 minutes. The battery has a capacity of 259 watt hours. The battery should be fully recharged in four hours using the charger supplied. There is an optional fast charger, which charges the battery four times faster in one hour. The propeller sits in a tunnel. This protects against both damage and injury. The small motor is supplied in a bag. It has space for the accessories:
As with other outboards, the kicker can be folded up. What is special, however, is that the length of the shaft can be adjusted. This means that the draught is variable. In addition to the already lightweight Kicker, Thrustme also produces the Cruise version, which is designed as an even more compact drive for kayaks. In Germany, the Thrustme Kicker is only available from the Echolotzentrum online shop and costs €1,299.
